Creative Iterations
Logo iterations
This is the first version and on the right you can see I made a Curacao-inspired logo for our group. It was very basic because I was just trying to combine the Curacao flag feeling with our brand concept Tera.
Brand guide Iteration
For the brand guide , we were experimenting with different styles of like fonts colors to see which we as a group would like the most.
You can see that we were experimenting with the logo a little bit and fonts and also the color to showcase in the brand guide.
Concept Poster Iteration for showcasing our project
when making the poster I didn't had this role in making it instead was tasked with helping the client brainstorm ideas for his storyboard but regardless I had opinion in the poster. go to Learning Outcome 2 to see my story board.
As a group we had to make a poster to showcase otehr students and teacher and to pitch it for them to understand what our project is about. On the right here you can see the poster of our group.Unreal engine making a desert scene
This is the first version where I started with a blank desert landscape. I had no knowledge before this, so it was really hard to start from nothing and the scene looked very empty.
Reflection of creative iterations
Working on this project I learned several things
During this project I was working on logo design, brand guide and also unreal engine desert scene. At first we used Curacao inspired logo but later we had to scratch that idea because not everyone in the group was from Curacao. From this I learned that a brand need to represent everyone and not only one culture.
By making many logo iteration, I learned that feedback is very important. As a group we voted on the logos and also showed it to our teacher and his feedback helped us improve the final logo. I also learned how colors and fonts can show the feeling and core values of a brand.
When working in unreal engine I struggled a lot at the start because I had no knowledge before. After doing research and using assets from quixel bridge and fab store I started to understand it better and client's feedback changed my idea and I had to redo parts of the scene, which showed me that being flexible is important.
Overall this project helped me learn how to iterate, take feedback and adapt my work. Next time I would start testing ideas earlier and plan better to save time and definitly asking for more feedbacks.
